Chellaston Infant and Junior Schools are two large schools catering for pupils between the ages of 4 and 11.
Position Overview
We are looking to recruit Play Team members to support play and activity during our lunchtimes in KS1 (infants) and KS2 (juniors). We are currently implementing the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) project and we are looking for enthusiastic, patient and creative individuals who are passionate about ensuring that children are given the best opportunities to play and explore.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure that all children have meaningful lunchtime play every day.
2. Create a safe and stimulating outdoor environment providing social, active, and creative play experiences.
3. Ensure that all children have a pleasant eating experience at lunchtime.
4. Support children as they visit the dining hall.
5. Clear and clean the hall to a state ready for use (e.g., for PE, school assemblies) in the afternoon.
You will need to be available to work over the lunchtime period and during term time. Successful candidates could be deployed over either site (Infant or Junior).
On the application form, please focus on a detailed 'supporting statement' taking into account the person specification and indicating why you would be the best person for us to recruit to this position.
If you would like further information or require an informal conversation or visit, please telephone or email our school office via 01332 701460 or admin@chellastonjuniors.org.
The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check, and must be eligible to work in the UK. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken during the recruitment process and this may include online searches.
We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or religion.
