As a Buyer you will be responsible for:
1. Managing and negotiating related commodities and ensuring a high-performance level in terms of quality, delivery, price, and productivity.
2. The daily ordering of goods and services for the site.
3. Ensuring procurement activities are managed in a professional and cost-effective manner, whilst supporting consistency in practices globally.
4. Increasing profitability and driving the improvement of the overall sourced goods and services under their scope according to strategies defined at the group level.
5. Managing the supplier base to obtain the necessary improvements to achieve the above and protect the plant against potential unfavorable market trends.
6. Ensuring logistics supply chain is robust, reliable, and cost-effective for both domestic and international trade.
Candidate Specification
1. 5 to 10 years' experience in Purchasing (Technical and Purchasing Expertise: Cost Analysis, Purchasing Strategy, Negotiation Skills).
2. Supplier Management expertise.
3. Experience in an industrial environment.
4. Working experience in cross-functional teams.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite.
6. Change management experience (Desirable).
7. Experience working with MRP systems in sourcing direct and indirect material in an international environment (Desirable).
8. University Degree in Engineering or Business (Desirable).
9. Purchasing certification (Desirable).
