If you are passionate about helping children achieve their potential, we’d love to hear from you Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a vital role in the classroom, providing support to both teachers and students. You will assist in lesson delivery, offer one-on-one or small-group support and help foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere. Key Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (TA): Support the teacher in planning and delivering engaging and interactive lessons. Work closely with students, particularly those requiring additional learning support. Promote positive behaviour and ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment. Assist with classroom management and preparation of learning materials. Provide emotional and academic support to pupils, fostering confidence and independence. Liaise with teachers and parents to monitor student progress. Contribute to extracurricular activities and school-wide initiatives. What We Are Looking For: We are seeking candidates who: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role. Knowledge of the curriculum and effective teaching support strategies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff. Patience, empathy and an understanding of how to support children’s individual needs. A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) is desirable but not essential. Commitment to professional development and the ability to adapt to new teaching techniques and practices. Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
