As a popular and successful school with a growing Sixth Form, we are excited to strengthen our staffing team with an early career or experienced teacher.
The post will involve the teaching of design technology to age ranges personalized to the strengths of the individual teacher, which could include Sixth Form teaching.
We offer a variety of courses including GCSE Design Technology, Food Nutrition, A Level Product Design, Level 1 & 2 Engineering Design, Level 3 Engineering, and a Level 3 Food course. Additionally, we have a specialist STEM pathway for students in Years 7, 8, and 9.
We are looking to employ a well-qualified teacher with a record of delivering high-quality lessons with excellent student outcomes, or a recently qualified teacher.
In September 2015, the school moved into an award-winning new building, where subjects are taught in specialist rooms in our Sixth Form block or within the suite of technology classrooms. The team is very supportive, and expectations for students are high.
iPads for every member of staff and all Sixth Form students have been provided since September 2024, enhancing our excellent teaching and collaboration while providing new ways to manage feedback and assessment.
