JOB PURPOSE:
The Hart Learning & Development Employability Team provide short courses to unemployed residents across Herts, Bucks and Beds to support them to progress into employment. As the Community Learner Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for developing partnerships across the community to promote the programmes and engage local people to enrol. This really is a role that changes lives.
In this role it all starts with you! You will develop a deep understanding of the needs of the community to ensure we are always offering provision that makes a difference. Your passion, drive and ambition will be crucial to the success of the department.
You will be responsible for the growth of the department by building and maintaining relationships with our stakeholders and utilising these relationships to engage and enrol learners onto our range of adult programmes, all whilst ensuring learners receive the best possible start to their journey with us. You will have a natural flair and passion to build relationships not just through promoting opportunities but also building longevity in your partnerships.
You will be given the autonomy to develop new partnerships, share new ideas and look at new and innovative ways to create opportunities for local residents.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with JCPs, third sector organisations and other referral partners to identify participants who could benefit from our programmes, across a range of regions.
* Build relationships with stakeholders to offer suitable opportunities for learners.
* Consistently achieve learner start targets and KPIs through high standards of performance in-line with business expectations.
* Provide strong IAG to ensure successful enrolment onto the right programme of learning.
* Develop and implement strategies to target potential learners and promote our offer to them.
* Keep clear and detailed records using our management systems.
* Identify individual client motivators to ensure high numbers of enrolments and use motivational, barrier removal and action planning techniques to manage the progression of clients onto programmes and then onto sustainable employment.
* Promote the Hart L&D brand and understand the value of pre-employment training programmes in transitioning learners into employment.
