The Acorns Primary & Nursery School are seeking two passionate Classroom Teachers to join our team on maternity cover contracts from September 2025.

The Role
As a Classroom Teacher, you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge all learners
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Support the academic, social and emotional development of all pupils
* Work with colleagues to continuously improve teaching and learning
* Uphold our school's relationship-based approach to behaviour management
* Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and the wider school community
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a teacher who:
* Holds Primary Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
* Has a proven track record of effective teaching and personal development
* Is open and eager to learn with a strong commitment to professional development
* Has the ability to motivate all children to learn and succeed
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Is enthusiastic, adaptable and willing to contribute to school life

What the school offers its staff
The Acorns Primary and Nursery School is a larger-than-average sized school in Ellesmere Port, catering for 375 pupils aged between 2 and 11 years old. Our pupils come from a wide range of backgrounds, but most live within a close proximity to the school. We have a much higher-than-average number of pupils eligible for Pupil Premium and also in receipt of EHCPs. We are a trauma-informed school with a Relationship Policy based upon restorative practice.
We are a member of the Rowan Learning Trust - a Multi-Academy Trust established in 2012 to maximise the potential of all children, students and adults within their schools.
