Emerging Talent Advisor We're currently recruiting for an Emerging Talent Advisor to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks Emerging Talent Team. This role will support apprentices, graduates, and placement students across the Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks division, acting as a trusted contact and guide throughout their journey at Kier. Location : Hybrid role with national travel, with occasional travel to the office required Hours : 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us Contract : Permanent, full-time and able to consider part-time opportunities Responsibilities As an Emerging Talent Advisor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Conducting regular check-ins with emerging talent to provide pastoral support and monitor progress. Working with Line Managers and HR to ensure clear career progression plans for emerging talent, supporting them in transitioning to their next role. Working with the Social Sustainability team on initiatives including work experience, school engagement, and career fairs to attract and inform emerging talent. Working closely with the talent acquisition team to attract, assess, and onboard apprentices, graduates, and placement students entering the workforce. Building a pipeline of emerging talent through development, career guidance, and retention efforts. This includes supporting progression, and coordinating internal transitions as requested. Engaging in the division's talent management initiatives to support the progression and retention of emerging talent within the organisation. Work closely with the Emerging Talent Manager, Learning and Talent Team, and HR on initiatives. What are we looking for? This role of Emerging Talent Advisor is great for you if you have: A genuine passion for supporting and developing emerging talent. A solid understanding and demonstrable experience of apprenticeships and graduate programmes, including their structure and key processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and SharePoint. A valid driving licence and willingness to travel frequently, with possible overnight stays required. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences. Strong relationship building skills, able to collaborate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
