RPS Water Operations requires additional Assistant Drainage Operatives to join our waste-water network team based out of Clevedon. Working with waste-water operations, you will be part of a 3-person site survey crew utilised to gather flow data and other data across above and below-ground waste-water assets. Ensuring safe systems of work, which often requires safe entry into confined spaces and working on the highway, you will safeguard the public and the crews’ wellbeing during survey operations. No previous water industry experience as we will provide the necessary training required.
This is a permanent role generally working flexible day shifts Monday to Friday, based from our Clevedon office for an immediate start.
We are on occasions required to work night shifts and work away from home as contracts and surveys demand.

What you’ll be doing
1. Ensuring the safety of our Survey Operatives and members of the public
2. Moving and handling heavy manhole covers
3. Following instructions from your crew leader
4. Being alert and monitoring the safety of your team members whilst they are underground
5. Working at height and within a confined space

5. Physically able to undertake all duties required (lifting/carrying etc.)
6. Commitment to working safely with excellent health and safety awareness
7. Basic written, verbal, numerical and IT skills
8. Full UK driving licence
