Job Title: Construction Delivery Manager - Mechanical
About the Role:
Vulcain Engineering Group is seeking a motivated and suitably qualified Construction Delivery Manager - Mechanical to join our Technical Communities based in the South West of England.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will assist with tactical logistics planning for individual works sections, collaborating with the HPC Delivery Team and Senior Construction Delivery Manager. They will be responsible for detailed planning and implementation, ensuring efficient delivery of the project.
Responsibilities:
* Support contract partners in their delivery of works packages to enable efficient delivery of their sections of works.
* Recommend temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/or quality concerns.
* Monitor works on site and input into the construction daily report.
* Proactively communicate/co-ordinate with other site teams and Construction Delivery Managers.
* Attend PLOD/PLOW meetings with the contractor and undertake safety and/or assurance inspections.
Requirements:
* Experience and knowledge of construction sequencing, recovery plans, and resource allocation.
* Good understanding of the post holder's obligations under CDM Regulations.
* Working knowledge in the delivery of projects.
* Be able to write informative, concise, and meaningful reports.
* Possess excellent organisation and communication skills.
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction management, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
* SMSTS or IOSH qualification holder.
