About the role
The inclusion team is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Learning Support Advisor to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with SEND who thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment tailored to their individual needs.
As a Learning Support Advisor, you will work with learners who may be facing barriers to learning, including those with SEND, SEMH or other individual needs. You will also work closely with other staff members, families and external agencies to create a cohesive support network for students, helping them to develop resilience, independence and a positive attitude towards learning and their future.
About the person
The suitable candidate will hold the following qualifications:
Level 2/GCSE English and Maths
General education to at least Level 2 standard
Have or willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification in learning support
They will also have experience of supporting young people with additional needs, equality and diversity issues and have knowledge of behaviour management techniques. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as well as the ability to support learners sensitively and professionally. This is a challenging role that requires flexibility, commitment and the ability to use own initiative whilst working alongside a dedicated team.
