THE ROLE
* The Landscape Partnerships Lead (known as Treescape Lead internally) will lead our priority landscape delivery within East Anglia, creating the strategy and plans and deliver the WT objectives (protect, create, restore goals) across the East Anglian Claylands.
* The role will work closely with partners, councils, farmers and landowners. The focus will be on delivering at scale trees outside of woodlands, manage existing Ancient Woodland Management (AWR) and Plantation on Ancient Woodland Sites (PAWS). Protecting Ancient and Veteran Trees (AVT’s) is also a key outcome.
* Responsible for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to manage and develop partnerships, identifying appropriate mechanisms to plan fund and deliver a wide-ranging portfolio of projects. The role will be part of a UK network of Treescape leads working on the Trust’s Treescape programme across the UK.
* This role is responsible for the overall coordination, management and support delivery of the EAC project. This will include allocating work plans, managing budgets and ensuring the WT delivery programme is effective and efficient.
* There will be a requirement to travel in and around the East Anglia region.
* The job title for this role is Treescape Lead as per the Job Description.
* This role does not come with a company vehicle, however after a 6-month period in-post we will review vehicle business use to see if the post-holder is reaching the eligibility criteria as stated in our Company Vehicle Policy. If the post-holder complies with those criteria, with sign off from our Facilities Team, a vehicle will be sourced and provided.
THE CANDIDATE
* Along with excellent communication skills you’ll have a proven track record in managing a programme of projects, as well as experience of working with and influencing multiple stakeholders to articulate a vision for change.
* You’ll need to be an organised strategic thinker with capacity to assimilate and prioritise information from multiple levels and focus it on delivering key outcomes for the Trust.
* You’ll have experience developing large long-term projects and funding bids, with the ability to decision make and achieve results.
* With a collaborative approach to achieving results, you’ll be talented at developing meaningful partnerships, able to work across multiple teams positively and proactively.
* You will have a good understanding of farming systems and land management.
* You will be based in or around the East Anglia region with a full UK driving licence.
