A Store Manager is required for a TV and audio equipment retailing store in Basingstoke. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in an electronic or camera retail sales role with excellent managerial and selling skills. Looking for a standout candidate with a chance of moving into a managerial role after 6 months probation.
Job Requirements:
1. To help increase the store's turnover and profitability.
2. Greeting customers and giving advice and guidance on product selection, suitability, and availability.
3. Answering customer queries in a knowledgeable manner and following up customer enquiries.
4. Responsibility for processing cash, credit card payments, and loan agreements.
5. Dealing with customer refunds and any customer complaints.
6. Balancing cash registers and the till reporting system and receipts.
7. Participation in the delivery and storage of goods and equipment.
8. Involvement in stock control, stock management, and stock checks.
9. Responsibility for security within the store.
10. Producing and attaching price tickets to merchandise in store.
11. Keeping up to date with special promotions and helping to put up shop displays.
12. Keeping the store clean and tidy including vacuuming carpeted areas and cleaning and mopping communal areas.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 37.50 per week
