Job Title: Shift Engineer / Electrical Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shift Engineer / Electrical Engineer with a strong background in Mechatronics to join our team and support our Warehouse Automation System. You will work closely with a technical operator and remote software support teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform Planned Maintenance as per the schedule.
2. Utilize SCADA systems to maintain system availability and troubleshoot failures.
3. Diagnose breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
4. Ensure LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and permits are strictly followed.
5. Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager to drive best practices and root cause analysis.
6. Deliver detailed shift handovers, ensuring seamless communication between shifts.
7. Champion Health & Safety best practices, reporting near misses and ensuring compliance.
8. Engage in continuous improvement projects, including lean practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Shift Pattern:
1. Rotational 12-hour shifts: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off.
2. Day and night shifts (12 PM-12 AM, 6 AM-6 PM, 6 PM-6 AM).
Salary & Benefits:
1. £54,538.50 per annum

Ideal Candidate Profile:
1. Strong Mechatronics, Electrical, or Automation Engineering background, ideally HNC Engineering or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 1 year UK work experience in an automated warehouse, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
3. Knowledge of SCADA, Selektron, and software-based troubleshooting.
4. Hands-on experience with Inverters, Servo Drives, HMI panels, 24V rollers, shuttles, and lifts.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to breakdowns.
6. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
