We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Asset Management Team as a Building Compliance Maintenance Manager. The role To lead the delivery of statutory compliance, M and E servicing, and minor planned and reactive maintenance across the Council’s non-housing property portfolio. This includes (but is not limited to); electrical, fire, asbestos, legionella (water hygiene), gas safety, and lifts. To support in the management of Health and Safety ensuring that full compliance is met particularly in relation to the CDM Regulations, and the Health and Safety at Work Act and that all industry statute is adhered to. A technical expert responsible for managing contracts related to asbestos, fire safety, electrical, and water hygiene. What you will need You will have knowledge of building constructions, facilities management and a good understanding of M and E Services. You will have good working knowledge of Health and Safety, Gas, Fire, Asbestos, Legionella and Electrical regulations with experience in a similar role. You will have experience in managing performance of contracts, and managing contractors with the ability to negotiate and consult. You will have the ability to understand and translate floor plans and technical information and drawings. You will hold IOSH Managing Safely, ACOP L8 Legionella Awareness, Management of Asbestos in Buildings or similar. You will also have access to your own vehicle, or can be mobile across the district as and when needed.
