Overview – Weybourne Weybourne Group is the holding company for the Dyson technology company, Dyson Farming, and other diverse business interests. Outside the operating businesses, Weybourne manages an investment portfolio and provides financial and other professional support to the Dyson Family, their estates, and personal business interests. The group covers a wide range of sectors including farming, financial and commercial property investments and residential property. We currently have a team of around 100 employees whose roles cover accountancy, financial control, tax and treasury, commercial property and financial investment management, security, audit, IT and HR based in both the UK and Singapore (where the Group Head Office is located). Overview – Department As a member of our dynamic HR team, the HR Assistant will play a crucial role in providing efficient and professional HR support to our diverse portfolio of businesses, which includes an investment arm, estate management, retail, and music. With over 430 employees across entities of varying sizes, this HR Assistant position supports the Senior HR Manager with the full HR lifecycle, including recruitment, reward, employee queries, payroll and data analytics Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the HR Assistant will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational HR support, including but not limited to maintaining accurate HR records, managing employee onboarding and offboarding, administering employee benefits, and responding to general HR-related enquiries from employees. In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will own and support key HR projects such as employee well-being initiatives and legislative changes, which are critical to our continued success. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, be highly detail-oriented, and have a confident and proactive approach to work. They will be able to work independently while also being a strong team player and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters. Main Duties/Responsibilities: Producing HR documentation, including employment contracts, offer paperwork, starter packs, and monitoring probation periods. Leading all payroll activities in collaboration with the in-house Payroll team and external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Supporting the recruitment lifecycle, including advertising roles, assisting with shortlisting, and providing interview support on junior roles. Organising and assisting with the induction program for new employees. Undertaking pre-employment screening, including referencing and vetting. Producing regular reports and data for the Senior HR Manager and HR Director Coordinating leaver exit interviews. Administration of employee benefits. Acting as HR System Administrator for our HR system and delivering training to users. Identifying opportunities to improve processes and systems within the team and taking action to implement these improvements. Acting as the first point of contact for general employee queries around policies and procedures. Providing support to the Senior HR Manager and HR Director on projects and key activities when required. Representing HR on the Social Committee and assisting with employee engagement initiatives and offsites. Handling any other ad hoc requests within the scope of the role. Conduct yourself in line with the Weybourne Values. Requirements Previous experience in a similar role within HR is essential. Working knowledge of HR functions and best practices essential.
