As a Domestic Supervisor, you would be responsible for the day-to-day management of Soft FM staff to provide efficient and effective Facilities services to all wards and departments within CHoICE operated sites and support the delivery of excellent patient care, ensuring the service is responsive to the demands placed upon it.

Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will be responsible for:
1. Day-to-day management of Soft FM staff to provide efficient and effective Facilities services to all wards and departments within CHoICE operated sites and support the delivery of excellent patient care.
2. Supervising and prioritising work and directing staff accordingly to ensure optimum use of resources across all CHoICE sites.
3. Working closely with the Facilities Management team, clinical site managers, and on-call teams to prioritise operational requirements.
4. Undertaking a rotary shift pattern covering 7 days per week during the hours of 0600 to 2200 hours.
5. Assisting the Heads of Department and deputies in managing the duties and performance of the staff within Soft FM.
6. Contributing to the ongoing development and delivery of all Soft FM services.
7. Supervising all aspects required for the delivery of high-quality Soft FM, ensuring that all service staff are correctly trained to fulfil their role and that the service is in line with customer needs.
Shift Pattern: Working hours across Monday to Sunday, working a 5-day roster between 0600 and 2200.

Job Responsibilities
The post holder will have day-to-day responsibility for the supervision of the Domestic & Linen Teams and services provided. They will be responsible for the efficient and effective services and delivery of high-quality cleaning and hygiene-related duties.

Physical Skills
* Moving and Handling
* Ability to sit at workstations as necessary
Skills and Knowledge
* Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Ability to prioritise own and others' workloads
* Able to work alone or as part of a team
* Knowledge of Hospital Support Service functions
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent qualification (which should include Maths and English)
* NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or substantial experience in a support service role with the equivalent level of knowledge
* A willingness to study for any qualifications deemed appropriate to the post, such as ILM Level 2/Advanced apprenticeship
* Health and safety awareness
* Current driving licence
Experience
* Previous experience of working in a support services function
* Supervisory knowledge gained through formal courses or secondment
* Experience of working in a healthcare setting
* Previous experience of operating and interrogating an electronic management system
