The Royal Marsden, together with our academic partner, the Institute of Cancer Research, is a world leading comprehensive cancer centre that makes an impact for cancer patients locally, nationally and globally.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a challenging, strategic and visible senior leadership role within the Strategy & Transformation team. This role will work to the Director of Strategic Development & Partnerships and closely with the wider leadership team of the Trust to ensure development and delivery of the recently launched 5-year clinical strategy as well as forthcoming related plans (e.g., research and education strategies). This will include representing the Trust externally with relevant NHS, third sector, and commercial partners.
The post holder will lead the management and delivery of Trust-wide strategy development and key strategic projects as prioritised by the Executive Directors and overseen by the Director of Strategic Development & Partnerships and Associate Medical Director for Strategy.
The post holder will work across two or more strategic projects at a time, including service developments, capital investments, or operational planning aspects of commercial/third sector collaborations. There will be a particular focus on the intersection between the Trust's 5-year clinical strategy, internal service plans, external stakeholder relationships, and estate development plans on the Sutton and Chelsea site. This role will also support the Trust’s engagement on service and operational developments with external partners, including the emerging Integrated Care Systems as well as third sector or commercial collaborators.
