Teacher of Geography
Full time permanent contract
Whickham School is seeking to recruit an engaging and inspirational teacher of Geography across the KS3 - KS5 age range. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our skilled and highly successful humanities team of 12 staff. The faculty consists of a Faculty Leader, Deputy and Assistant faculty leaders as well as a lead practitioner. Our GCSE Humanities subjects are consistently the top performing in the school, and Geography has, over the past few years, grown in numbers at both GCSE and A-level. You will be joining a highly successful team that puts teaching and learning at the heart of all it does. We place a strong emphasis on pastoral work and the role of a tutor, and use a restorative approach in supporting pupils. The school is heavily oversubscribed and results are considerably above local and national averages (progress 8 in 2024 was +0.26).
