Major Recruitment are seeking a proactive and tech-savvy Sales Administrator to join their dynamic team on a temp-to-perm basis for our client based in Chesterfield. This role involves managing sales order processing, maintaining customer accounts, and providing excellent administrative support.
Working Hours + Salary
1. Monday to Friday
2. 08:30 - 17:00 or 08:00 - 16:00
3. £24,000 per annum
4. 40 Hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process sales orders efficiently, including EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions.
2. Manage and maintain multiple customer accounts, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
3. Oversee POD (Proof of Delivery) orders and ensure timely processing.
4. Handle general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and document management.
5. Coordinate transport requests and liaise with logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery operations.
6. Utilize CRM and bespoke systems to manage customer interactions and data.
7. Conduct Teams calls and warm calls with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers to build and maintain strong relationships.
8. Collaborate with a young and energetic team of 8 to achieve departmental goals.
9. Provide excellent customer service and support, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
10. Prepare and distribute reports and documentation as required.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a sales administration or similar role.
2. Strong technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
3. Confident in liaising with customers over the phone and via email.
4. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Ideally, candidates should drive or live locally due to unreliable bus services in the area.
