Cricketfield Surgery is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Practice Manager to join our thriving, patient-focused practice. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager either in Primary Care or other service focused industry. We're offering a supportive, dynamic and inspirational environment in one of the most stunning locations in the UK, South Devon.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate robust leadership and communication skills, be well organised, highly motivated and numerically astute. There is a requirement to take responsibility for and lead on all business compliance aspects of the practice.
The partners also require the successful candidate to be proactive and understand longer term strategic planning, maximising the practices potential in relation to business opportunities, finance and population health management, whilst maintaining patient care. The candidate needs to ensure the partners are kept fully informed of local and national proposals and initiatives, presented clearly and concisely to enable them to make informed decisions.
An understanding of current NHS initiatives and plans will be helpful; however, the NHS is changing substantially and rapidly and the introduction of new ideas and methods from outside the NHS presents an attractive proposition to the partnership. As a small business we are in a period of significant change so need a Practice Manager who can help the team adapt and lead them positively into the new era of Cricketfield Surgery.
In addition to adapting the practice to meet the demands of providing high quality patient care, the manager will need to ensure that the practice is financially efficient and compliant with all aspects of health and safety, employment and data legislation, and CQC (Care Quality Commission) registration/compliance.
