Randstad Construction & Property are working on behalf of a National Facilities Management company to find an experienced and collaborative Maintenance Assistant to join their team in Chester. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance on site.
Location: Chester (Static)
Salary: Competitive (up to £30,000 depending on experience)
Employment type: Full-time, permanent, Monday-Friday

An average day will include the following:
8. Respond to reactive works within the team
9. Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales
10. Liaise with Clients representatives with respect to maintenance & repair tasks
11. Undertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works
12. Repairs floor and wall coverings
13. Responsible for ceiling tile repairs and replacements
14. Responsible for other building and installation works as required
15. Accountable for lighting, general lamp changes, Filter Changes AHU's / FCU's and Basic Plumbing requirements
16. Complete reactive, PPM jobs & projects in a timely manner
17. Undertake minor projects works
An ideal candidate will have:
18. Previous Fabric, Carpentry experience
19. Experience of working in high profile work environment
20. City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in carpentry
21. PC literate
22. Good Customer relationship skills
23. Understand and interpret technical drawings/instructions / processes
24. Able to organise self to manage assigned tasks, determine material requirements
25. Experience of H & S procedures & requirements. COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment etc
