Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker (RSW)
Location(s): Various Locations
Salary: £11.00 – £16.00 per hour based on shift pattern

As an RSW, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting young people in their day-to-day activities. You will attend to their practical, physical, and emotional needs, serve as a role model, and enable them to work through their difficulties to reach their goals and ambitions.
Some of the duties could include:
* High quality of care and support for children and young people.
* Working within the guidelines from the 1989 Children’s Act, National Minimum Standards, Every Child Matters, and other relevant legislation.
* Create a nurturing, supportive, and caring environment in which children feel safe and secure.
* Establish positive relationships with the children and young people.
* Ensure care plans are followed and up to date.
* Attend to practical matters related to childcare such as cooking, cleaning, and general maintenance around the home.
* Act as key worker for young people and children to ensure plans are met and in date.
* Provide emotional support during times of difficulty or stress.
* Be ambitious for young people and help them achieve their goals.
* Provide support with their educational needs and extracurricular activities, which may include supporting them in the classroom if needed.
* Act as an advocate at meetings where the young person is the subject of discussion.
* Deal with challenging behaviour.

Some of the skills/requirements would include:
