PAstoral INTEGRATION ADMINISTRATOR - PETERBOROUGH
Role description:
The Pastoral Integration Administrator will be a key member of the team helping new people connect into church life through participation in course(s) they have expressed an interest in. The role will contribute strongly to making the experience of both those participating on a course and those serving on it an enjoyable one.
Working directly with the Pastoral Integration Coordinator to assist with the coordination and administration of the KingsGate Alpha, Life Skills courses and other courses facilitating pastoral integration.
Specific tasks:
* Overseeing the successful administration of all in-person Alpha courses.
* Working with the Pastoral Integration Coordinator to ensure appropriate room bookings and resources are in place.
* Liaising with media and production teams for AV requirements.
* Supporting the Pastoral Integration Coordinator with administrative tasks required for the smooth running of both in-person and online Alpha, Life Skills courses and other courses facilitating pastoral integration, e.g. ALIVE.
* Sending out weekly email communications to course participants.
* Helping to promote Alpha and other relevant courses in the atrium on a Sunday in the lead up to courses starting.
* Inputting into strategic planning for further development and delivery of courses.
* Ensuring the Dynamics database is updated following completion of each course.
Person specification:
* Ability to provide a KingsGate pastoral reference.
* KingsGate Partner.
* Regular attendance at a LifeGroup.
Key skills, attributes and/or experience:
Essential:
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Previous experience in an administration role.
Support and personal development:
* Training related to your responsibilities as a volunteer.
* A named person who will supervise your volunteering and with whom you can discuss your work.
* Regular one-to-one meetings with your supervisor.
* A review of your volunteering role after three months.
* Access to any relevant staff training and leadership development resources if appropriate.
* Access to technical equipment and IT systems, if needed for the role, including any training required.
* Reimbursement of your travel expenses. If claiming petrol, this will be paid at the prevailing mileage rate.
* Full involvement in the life of the staff team, e.g. Summer BBQ and Christmas meal.
Time commitment:
* Approx 4 hours a week.
* Office-based with hybrid option enabling some working from home.
