In Key Stage 4 we offer both separate and combined pathways for GCSE students and at Key Stage 5 we deliver A-level Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as currently offering Applied Science BTEC.
The department’s results are consistently strong and continue to improve year on year with 100% of students receiving grade 5 and above in separate sciences, 63% achieving grade 4 and above in combined science and 70% achieving grade 4 and above in Science overall. Over 75% of separate students achieved grades 9-7 across the three sciences.
A large number of our A level and BTEC students progress into Science based pathways at University such as Midwifery, Medicine, Neuroscience, Physics and Astronomy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Biomedical Science.
We are looking to recruit a full time Teacher of Science who will join a highly skilled, energetic and passionate team, teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
The successful candidate will be confident to deliver Biology, Chemistry and Physics content in Key Stages 3 and 4 and will ideally have the subject knowledge to deliver their specialism at Key Stage 5. They will be a student centred teacher who is dedicated and will build positive relationships with our amazing young people so that they can inspire a love of learning and a passion for Science both in and outside of the classroom.
