The Maintenance and Compliance Manager is responsible for compiling and reporting weekly KPIs and financial performance metrics to the National Head of Maintenance, Compliance and Design. This includes providing insights into maintenance efficiency, compliance adherence, and financial expenditures related to maintenance activities. At Host & Stay, we take pride in managing high-quality holiday homes. To uphold these standards, annual property surveys are conducted across our portfolio, focusing on properties that have received reports or negative feedback. As part of the role, the Maintenance and Compliance Manager is expected to conduct surveys weekly. This involves liaising with property owners, assessing the condition of the properties, and identifying any maintenance or compliance issues. Following the surveys, the manager will provide detailed quotations for the necessary maintenance or repair works. This includes estimating costs and coordinating with vendors or contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions. There will be a bonus potential earnings of £5k per annum based on a set of performance measures. Main duties and key result areas: Oversee the day-to-day activities of all maintenance and compliance technicians, ensuring their tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize team productivity and efficiency, aligning with KPI targets and budget goals. Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance and compliance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Collaborate with office staff to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritise tasks, and address any administrative needs related to maintenance and compliance activities. Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development within the team, facilitating training sessions and mentoring programs, as necessary. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement. Maintain open and transparent communication channels within the team and with other departments, keeping all stakeholders informed of project statuses, priorities, and any relevant updates. Conduct surveys weekly, liaising with property owners, assessing the condition of the properties, and identifying any maintenance or compliance issues. Provide detailed quotations for the necessary maintenance or repair works. This includes estimating costs and coordinating with vendors or contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions. To be considered for this role you MUST have: Full UK Driving License (if you have a disability, we will explore reasonable adjustments with you) Project Management: Experience of managing property maintenance, compliance and improvement projects, programmes or contracts within budget and deadlines. Proven track record, sound knowledge & experience of working in contract management & directly monitoring contractors with a strong focus around productivity, quality, health & safety compliance and cost effectiveness. Proven senior level leadership experience, leading and motivating teams within a customer focused environment. Ability to communicate technical and compliance matters to non -technical staff, in a way which they understand & meet health and safety obligations. Able to demonstrate sound technical knowledge of the building maintenance and construction industry through previous work experience. Good IT skills with experience of using Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to lead change and drive service and performance improvements. Who is Host & Stay?
