Job Summary
The post holder will also play a leadership role in the inpatient flow improvement programme, supporting a complex change management programme at Newham.
Working closely with clinical and operational leaders, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes, optimising service performance, and upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the site management team, discharge lounge and Deceased Holding Unit, ensuring optimal staffing, resource allocation, and adherence to performance targets.
2. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support a multidisciplinary team, fostering a positive, collaborative, and patient-centred culture.
3. Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient flow, quality of care, and service efficiency, implementing improvements as required.
4. Quality and Safety: Ensure that all care provided meets regulatory standards and aligns with best practices, prioritising patient safety and quality of care.
5. Financial Management: Manage the departments budget effectively, identifying areas for cost-saving and ensuring financial sustainability.
