Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Registered Manager to deliver outstanding care in a safe, loving home. Lead and inspire a team to provide therapeutic support tailored to each child's needs. Oversee daily operations, ensuring high standards and strategic development of the service. Act as a role model, fostering recovery, growth, and positive change for children and staff. Supervise and mentor team members, organising rotas and facilitating care-focused training. Manage budgets, resources, and compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards. Build trusting relationships with children, promoting their emotional and behavioural well-being. Coordinate with external professionals to enhance care provision. Work flexible shifts, including sleep-ins, to meet the home's 24/7 requirements. Candidate Requirements At least 3 years' experience in a residential children's home setting. Solid understanding of Ofsted legislation, safeguarding, and childcare best practices. Proven leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approach to team management. Experience managing budgets and rotas effectively. Full UK driving licence (essential for this role). Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, to support round-the-clock care. Enthusiastic, driven, and committed to excellence, passion, integrity, and caring. Strong communication skills to engage with children, staff, and external stakeholders.
