Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Acute Medicine to join a dynamic and expanding team for an East Midlands Hospital. The post holder will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care across the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU), Same Day Emergency Care (mSDEC), and supporting the Emergency Department (ED) team. This is a key position designed to enhance acute care services and ensure patients receive timely and effective care in a transformed healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality clinical care across MAU, mSDEC, and ED in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Contribute to the expansion and redesign of emergency, urgent, and acute care services at our Client's East Midlands Hospital. Manage both elective and emergency acute care pathways for patients. Actively participate in clinical governance, research, and audit activities. Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, including doctors and clinical practitioners. Deliver teaching and training to junior doctors, medical students, and other clinical staff. Participate in the hospital’s on-call and weekend rota (1:6). Contribute to service development and innovation to meet the evolving needs of the hospital and its patients.
