We are now recruiting a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join the engineering team. The role Reporting to the engineering site leader, your main tasks will be the repair and planned maintenance of our automated equipment and continuous improvement. Some development engineering work may also be available to an appropriately qualified candidate. Based predominantly at our Hellaby site in Rotherham, however you will be expected to travel between all six Gripple Ltd manufacturing sites, four of which are in the Lower Don Valley area of Sheffield, so you will need to be in possession of a full UK/EU driving licence. Who you are? The ideal candidate should ideally be apprentice trained with experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You must be extremely team oriented, and IT literate with excellent communication skills. You should be mechanically biased, but with some electrical ability and experience. You should also have knowledge of some, if not all the following: pneumatics hydraulics bench fitting milling turning PPM (planned preventive maintenance) ele ctrical fault finding Experience of the following, whilst not essential, would be a distinct advantage: Die Casting CNC machinery fault finding and maintenance Robotics (ABB) PLC programming/interrogation Working hours The position will entail working regular mornings and afternoons Monday to Friday, as well as night shifts and weekend work to meet the demands of the business.
