Role
1. Apply a good working knowledge of departmental/service administrative systems to answer queries and resolve problems from colleagues and external customers.
2. Analyse, manipulate and interpret information/data and use it to produce reports and other communications.
3. Oversee the email traffic sent to various shared inboxes, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
4. Provide administrative support to various committees.
5. Act as the first point of contact for our applicants or students, providing a friendly and helpful service. Meet with students that may need additional support and signpost to central and external support services.
6. Organise events and meetings on behalf of the team as required.
7. Prepare communications and assist in sharing information in a timely and professional manner.
8. Maintain departmental webpages and update content as required.
9. Provide effective and efficient administrative support to colleagues, including the coordination of diaries, arranging and servicing meetings, filtering enquiries, drafting and preparation of documentation, and organisation of travel/events.
10. Support taught assessment operations in the department, including mark entering, monitoring deadlines, production of papers, checking timetables, and liaison with staff and External Examiners.
