We have an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Process Operator to join our team at The Engine Overhaul Services facility in Derby.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring successful cleaning of components using a combination of manual and automated systems. This will in turn help the successful assembly of our products in EOS.
The Engine Overhaul Services (EOS) facility is 27,000m2, with around 550 employees, and operational for 20 hours a day, 365 days a year. As the only wholly owned Large Engine MRO facility, with capability to maintain all modern Trent engines, EOS is fundamental to the future success of Civil Aerospace Business.

What you will be doing:
In this role you will be operating in a chemical plant environment, you will look after carrying out a range of chemical treatment processes, as well as:
* Load components into baskets, onto an automated line, prepare them for cleaning and perform manual washing/cleaning activities.
* Operate all the equipment in a safe and effective manner, in compliance with all the policies, procedures, and regulations. This will involve use of an electric pallet truck.
* Follow the defined process instructions, standard operating and quality procedures and assist with process improvements by reporting manufacturing observations.
* Filling, packing out and labelling of product and maintaining accurate process records.
* Maintain good housekeeping standards and carry out safety, environmental, production and housekeeping checks.
* Communicate effectively with Operations team and Management, Manufacturing Engineering and Auditors.
* Assist in maintenance tasks, raise maintenance requests and help with stock and waste management.

* Prior experience of chemical plant operation is required.

* Ability to follow written and verbal process instructions with ease and solve problems quickly and accurately.
* Capable of meeting production targets in a safe and efficient manner.
* Ability to learn the operations of an automated plant.
