An exciting opportunity has arisen for a temporary CommunityMental Health Nurse at either grade 5 or 6 to join our expanding CommunityMental Health Team-Older People Service based at Baghill House. We are seeking either an experienced communitymental health nurse or a potential development post can be offered. This is afull-time position for one year to cover maternity leave.
We are a small, friendly, and passionate team looking torecruit a like-minded group of 5 or 6 nurses to work within our integrated teamof both Trust and local authority professionals. A car and driving license areessential for this role due to the area that we cover.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified nurse withup-to-date professional expertise and experience in areas such as treatment,administration of injections, monitoring of wellbeing, assessment/riskmanagement, social care support, and case management.
The post holder will also be responsible for becoming amentor, supporting students and colleagues with their development, and assumingthe daily functions within the band's six role, development will be offered ifa band 5. Therefore, good IT skills are required, including familiarity withthe electronic systems that support our work. The post is being advertised as either aband 6 post or as a development post atband 5 post whereby the successfulcandidate must successfullyundertake/achieve band 6 competency framework to gain the band 6 role.
Main duties of the job
Will monitoring, support and offer therapeutictreatment to service users.
Will hold a caseload and support service userswith complex mental health needs.
Will be able to risk manage safely within thecommunity whilst supporting person centred approach/ recovery model.
Work both independent and has part of a team.
The post holder will require good IT,communication skills and be able to write clear comprehensive reports in settimeframe works on two electronic systems.
Responsible for the safe custody of medication,including checking and administration.
Ensure compliance with our clinical governanceframework, you will motivate colleagues, champion service user safety anddignity and drive continuous improvement.
Become an Ice user safety and dignity and drivecontinuous improvement.
The post holder will support mentoring ofstudents on placement and offer other educational advice support to otherprofessionals when needed.
