The role holder will be the MAPPA Co-Ordinator for Fife. The purpose of the MAPPA Co-Ordinator role is to support the functions of Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) in Fife. This includes providing a comprehensive service and contributing to the risk management of Fife MAPPA managed individuals by actively co-ordinating multi-agency meetings and providing expertise in terms of legislation and national guidance. This role is directly managed by the Service Manager for Fife Justice Social Work Service and requires both strategic and operational awareness, involving the line management of the MAPPA Justice Worker.
The Person
It would be beneficial for the individual to have experience in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of MAPPA and associated processes involved in the management of MAPPA nominals
2. Experience and confidence to assess risk and risk assessment tools
3. Experience of working with complexity and the ability to make decisions and exercise professional autonomy
4. Multi-agency liaison and partnership working
5. Excellent communication skills and adaptability to transfer these skills across different areas of the role
6. An ability to maintain professional relationships with a variety of professionals from different disciplines
7. Adaptability and embracing change
8. Experience of implementing quality assurance practices to ensure the best delivery of services
9. Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
