We are seeking an innovative and strategic individual to join our team; the hybrid role will combine Account Management and Thought Leadership within the retail space. This position will focus on generating, coordinating and sharing industry-leading insights to shape the future of retail. You will analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and emerging technologies to create content and strategies that position Circana as a thought leader in the retail industry. The ideal candidate will be able to blend their ability to generate Thought Leadership with expertise in account management, leading and coaching Insight Managers. The role will be split across leading two proportional accounts (0.5 FTE); supported by Retailer account teams in alignment with Thought Leadership coordination (0.5 FTE). Responsibilities of Insight Director - Retail Responsibilities Account Planning: build and delivery of these Supporting Insight Managers in development & execution of account strategy Lead Retailer engagement on One Circana solutions and capabilities - responsible for creating indispensable, long-term, solution-focused partnerships with Retailer clients Strategic Insight: Coaching team for insight generation and delivery Translation of Retailer Business Objectives to key internal stakeholders to tailor solutions and insights to retailer needs Consulting with clients to influence and challenge thinking to drive relevant business agendas Building Relationships: leveraging mutually beneficial partnerships and growing networks with client Responsibilities of Thought Leader - Retail Industry Research: Conduct research on retail industry trends, consumer preferences, technological advancements, and competitive landscape Thought Leadership Content Creation: Drive and work with internal teams to create high-quality content, including reports, blog posts, and presentations that highlight key insights, best practices, and future predictions within the retail industry Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand the business’s objectives and help align thought leadership strategies with company goals Content Distribution & Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure thought leadership content reaches target audiences through various channels Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor thought leadership and identify opportunities to differentiate Circana as a leading voice in the retail sector Innovation & Trendspotting: Stay ahead of emerging trends in retail, such as e-commerce, omnichannel strategies, AI in retail, sustainability, and customer experience, sharing actionable insights for internal stakeholders Requirements Minimum 5 years’ proven experience within FMCG, Retail or equivalent industry Demonstrated breadth of industry knowledge and related key trends to impact on clients Experience of translating data and analysis into relevant implications Circana Behaviours As well as the technical skills, experience and attributes that are required for the role, our shared behaviours sit at the core of our organization.
