Our client is seeking an experienced Employment Law Solicitor to join their esteemed legal team based in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional client service and innovative employment law solutions. This role provides the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload, offer expert advice on all aspects of employment law, and build strong relationships with clients across various sectors.
What you'll do:
As an Employment Law Solicitor, your role will be crucial in providing comprehensive legal support across a range of sectors. You'll be entrusted with advising on complex employee relations issues, drafting and negotiating key documents, managing contentious matters, and providing strategic advice to HR teams. You will:
* Offer expert advice on complex employee relations issues such as redundancy, disciplinary matters, grievance procedures, and TUPE
* Draft and negotiate employment contracts, settlement agreements, and policies
* Manage contentious matters including tribunal claims, discrimination cases, and unfair dismissal
* Provide strategic legal advice to HR teams and senior leadership
* Conduct due diligence and advise on employment law aspects of corporate transactions
* Mentor junior solicitors and build strong relationships with clients
What you bring:
* A minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in employment law gained at a reputable private practice
* Proven expertise in managing both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters
* Strong drafting, negotiation, and client advisory skills
* Excellent knowledge of current employment legislation and case law
* A proactive, solution-focused approach to legal challenges
* The ability to manage a varied caseload independently and to tight deadlines
