(GS83) Clinical Psychologist- ASAP start
We are delighted to be working with a major private UK healthcare organisation, who is currently offering a 'Psychologist' position at their brand new 12 bed CAMHS service site based in the South of England.
In this role, you will be alongside a specialist multidisciplinary team within a CAMHS eating disorder service, providing clinical psychology care to children and young people and conducting clinical related research, development, and clinical audits to support their recovery.
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will deliver and contribute to the development of the specialist treatment pathway, creating working relationships with local community teams, paediatric and other inpatient psychiatric wards.
Job Description:
* Participating in the assessment of referrals and providing initial assessment of young people referred to the service.
* Undertaking high-quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions.
* Working therapeutically with young people with complex presentations, undertaking assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methods.
* Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients’ mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice.
* Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.
* Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines, and Company Policies and Procedures.
Requirements:
* Good Honours degree in Psychology.
* A recognised postgraduate doctorate in clinical/counselling psychology or equivalent.
* Full registration with the HPC (Health Professions Council) and Current Practising.
* Evidence of CPD Log.
* Up-to-date knowledge of issues affecting young people with mental health disorders.
* Knowledge of evidence-based practice.
* Working knowledge of legislation & its implications for both clinical practice & professional management in relation to the client group & mental health.
* Working knowledge of all the traditional models of psychotherapy & the evidence for their use & detailed knowledge of 2 or more of them.
