The successful applicant will be experienced in working with children and young people with complex communication needs. You will be required to support students on both a 1:1 and small group basis to, in our purpose-built Inclusion Base, as well as offer advice to other colleagues and parents. This role will involve: Teaching pupils with CCN/ASC individually and in groups within the provision as well as supporting the work students will carry out within mainstream classrooms. Carrying out detailed observations alongside, such as those used in the SCERTS approach/AET framework, Working alongside other professionals such as occupational therapy (OT) and Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) professionals. Working in partnership with other agencies (including OT, SALT, SENSS) to develop learning plans that meet the needs of the individual pupils. Working in partnership with class teachers to ensure the pupils are effectively included in mainstream activities as appropriate for each individual. Developing and creating resource materials to meet the needs of the pupils and oversee the ordering of resources if required.
