This is a permanent, full time position.
The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Fri 9-5.
The post holder will work in with the Epilepsy team lead and other epilepsy nurses in the management of epilepsy in children and young people. He/she will be required to provide support to children and families as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of this group of patients. The post holder will be required participate in managing epilepsy via the epilepsy nurse telephone service, draw up individual seizure management plans for use in hospital and community settings, provide training for families, education and social work staff, advocate for children and their families, promoting child focus family-centred care and also act as a resource for other health care professionals.
