My client is a UK based manufacturer of flavours for a wide variety of applications. They are a different kind of flavour house, fiercely independent, with a business philosophy of being friendly, flexible, fast and always on budget.
Role
You will be responsible for the total ownership of the innovation and strategy within the Dairy sector. This will include the development of new initiatives and campaigns, working closely with Marketing & Commercial to develop and anticipate future trends in flavour.
You will be proactive with new and existing customers looking for new ideas and concepts across markets and countries to inspire them and develop business.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Working closely with customers to maintain and develop existing and new Dairy-based products through proactive innovation and flavour applications.
2. Delivering costings and specifications of flavours to the customer.
3. Liaise with the Flavourists, Technical & Commercial teams to deliver all Dairy related customer project briefs.
4. Explore and develop new Dairy application formats designed to showcase our flavours.
5. Develop sector skills, commercial awareness and networking through attendance at relevant exhibitions, conferences, seminars, webinars etc.
6. You will be responsible for delivering presentations to customers to demonstrate our flavours and new product concepts.
7. Demonstrate and develop a broad understanding of the Dairy sector, in particular monitoring trends and how these could fit with our activity.
8. Create short reports, highlighting new launches, new market products, and any major findings.
9. Supporting and working closely with the team on key accounts.
Qualifications and Experience
1. You will ideally have a degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology or a similar food-based qualification.
2. You will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in the development of dairy products, either for a flavour or food ingredients business or for a dairy manufacturing business.
3. You will have a good technical understanding of how to incorporate and optimise flavours in Dairy applications, ensuring stability, taste performance, and compliance.
4. You will be comfortable being customer facing and possess strong communication skills.
5. You will have excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
6. Have a passion for food and a willingness to support all areas of the business when required.
7. Hard working, passionate with a desire to learn.
