A committed school in Eastbourne that specialises within SEN is searching for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex learning needs. This setting caters for students between the ages of 4-19 and, provides teaching strategies to appropriate to each individuals learning and, social needs. You will make a key difference in the progress of the students cognition learning, communication, sensory and physical development, and social, emotional and mental health development.

Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide 1:1 support to a child with complex needs and help, students understand instructions.
Assist in implementing individual learning and, support plans.
Support children during social activities and outings.
Encourage communication and manage behaviour.
Work alongside the teacher and SEN team to create a positive learning environment.
Prepare and provide learning materials.
Requirements of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
Impose patience and understanding.
Have an understanding with challenging behaviour.
Always be adaptable in any give situation.
