Barwells Wealth has an exciting opportunity to join the team as an Apprentice Financial Services Assistant. This role has development opportunities leading to Financial Advisor role. The primary function of the role; to provide direct support to the Financial Planners to enable them to operate at optimum efficiency. This will include but will not be limited to the main responsibilities given below. The Apprentice Financial Services Assistant is expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative. Key Responsibilities To prepare correspondence and documents including audio typing an word processing in accordance with Client Management Systems as appropriate To administer filing which will include daily filing, opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the Firms procedures Obtaining valuations from product providers either by telephone or via the Internet Preparing valuations of pensions and investments on Back Office System To prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch To arrange for all copying to be done, in person To manage appointments, arrange meetings and maintain an up to date diary for the Financial Planners To prepare meeting rooms as necessary and ensure tidy following meeting Provide support to fellow assistants, as required To attend clients via telephone and in person, providing support in a professional, friendly manner in meeting the Firm’s standards of care To undertake any specific training as required and to assume responsibility for personal development To ensure the confidentiality of the Firm’s and Client’s data To provide refreshments as required Other duties commensurate with the post as designated from time to time by the Directors Desired skills Highly effective administrative and organisational skills Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively Audio Typing skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to perform a range of administrative tasks Good level of ICT experience particularly Microsoft Office Relevant and recent experience working within an office environment Relevant and recent administrative experience Personal qualities Resilience, the ability to work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines Ability to use initiative to respond to unexpected problems / conflict Excellent communication skills (including written, oral skills) Flexible and open to continuous change Able to build and maintain successful and purposeful relationships with clients & introducers A positive outlook, well motivated, enthusiastic, energetic and a sense of humour Good attendance and punctuality record Professional appearance and manner Supportive nature towards colleagues, trainers etc Desired qualifications Minimum of Grade 4 qualification in English and Mathematics A Levels is essential Salary: Apprenticeship Wage Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:15pm
