Repairs and Maintenance Manager We are currently looking for a Repairs and Maintenance Manager to join The Sovini Group. This position is a permanent opportunity As a Repairs and Maintenance Manager, you will be expected to: Be responsible for the provision of a customer driven, focussed approach to the delivery of the repairs and maintenance services. Ensuring that key performance indicators are delivered to Sovini Group expectations. Support the Head of Asset Management by contributing to the development and continual improvement of Groups approach to repairs and maintenance services including reactive repairs, voids, grounds maintenance, communal cleaning, and facilities management. Oversee and deliver top quartile performance via external and internal contractors. Operational responsibility for optimizing the performance of the repair and maintenance services delivered to the group residents, ensuring that the agreed strategies are translated into objectives and key performance indicators and mechanisms are in place for reporting at management level. Work with Group Neighbourhood and Customer Service Teams to enable cleaner safer greener neighbourhoods. Work with external and internal contractors and the finance team to be responsible for allocated budgets, staff and service performance management, benchmarking and actively promote continuous improvement, sustainability and life cycle costing. Manage relevant budget in accordance with the financial regulations and to contribute to the budget setting process, identifying key risks, and ensuring appropriate financials controls are implemented Regularly meet with the service delivery contractors, SPS, Finance and Housing Management to ensure accurate service delivery is achieved. Undertake data trend analysis of the number of repairs/ voids, value of repairs/ voids, complaints and identify any inappropriate use of the service or resource. Report to the Head of Asset Management and other key stakeholders, the performance and analysis in the responsible service areas. Be responsible for all the staff within the service areas under their line management. This responsibility will include the recruitment, development, motivation, deployment, training and discipline of staff, developing a highly competent team which can deliver a broad range of services. Take lead responsibility in dealing with legal disrepair protocol cases to ensure the effective communication and speedy turnaround of works related to the individual disrepair claims and report to senior management. To be successful in a Repairs and Maintenance Manager role, the skills you will need : Ofqual regulated CIH Qualification or the commitment to work towards. Use of own car and hold a full UK drivers license. Significant operational experienced of performance management and service development of Asset Management. Track record in the successful development and implementation of service improvement, management, policies and procedures. Ability to analyse and present performance data of team and contractor. To assess ongoing performance and trends, developing the service in line with this performance and business needs. Working with frequently changing priorities to meet deadlines. Excellent communication and customer care skills oral, written, numerical, negotiation, telephonic and presentational. Demonstrable knowledge of Asset Management, Repairs & Maintenance, Neighbourhood Management, Community Development and Regeneration Legislation and continuous improvement relative to the duties of the post. Innovative and committed to providing high quality Neighbourhood Planning and service improvement. Demonstrable knowledge of the main principles of Value for Money, Good Practice and continual improvement. Ability to work flexibly and out of hours where necessary. Experience of monitoring budgets, service development and improvement. successful track record of building relationships with tenants/residents/stakeholders and partnership working. Degree/HNC educated or substantial experience and technical knowledge Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.
