We are looking for an MEP-minded QA/QC engineer to join the team on Hinkley Point C, the nuclear power station currently underway in Somerset.

What will the role look like?
This role is to support the development, delivery, and execution of the CHt Quality Management system on site to achieve Quality Control compliance, with a robust Quality Assurance framework in place. This role will report directly to the project quality manager.
This is an important QA/QC engineering support role for a large Nuclear project. 1. Review of the Contract Quality Management requirements and Project specifications and associated drawings.
2. Understanding and compliance with the clients' Quality Management System and Lifetime Records (LTR) requirements.
3. Generation and adherence to the Site Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) documents.
4. Auditing and completion of Site QC Inspections on the projects to the project specification(s) and scope of works, as installed.
5. Perform Internal audits that feed into the LOR Quality KPIs / Statistics - monthly reporting.
6. Support the Project Leader and project team members regarding 'best practice' installation methods.
7. Review of Project Documentation system for the project (both Hard & Softcopy file versions), for document retention and final handover.
8. Provide technical Electrical, Mechanical, Process Instrumentation and/or HVAC Mechanical support, where applicable (consultative support only).
9. Provide Quality training support to the project team (continuous basis).
10. Ensure avoidance of CFSI (Counterfeit, Fraudulent, Suspect Items) entering and being installed/discovered on site.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
1. 3rd Level Quality Management and/or an Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering coupled with 3+ years relevant experience in a Project Quality role (NVQ Level 6, 7 or 8).
2. Project delivery experience within highly regulated environments.
3. Technical Knowledge & Experience of either Mechanical or Electrical systems and standards.
4. Analytical thinker and problem solver.
