G09 £37,035 - £39,513 per annum
The Education Department is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic team player to join a busy Access and School Places Team.
You will be expected to provide building maintenance knowledge and expertise for all school buildings, including reactive, legislative, planned, and cyclical maintenance. You will provide advice and support to the Access and School Places Team on maintenance of new build, refurbishment, and improvement schemes. Additionally, you will ensure that the Council’s Education property portfolio meets the requirements of service occupiers and all statutory regulations. It is essential to be personally aware of and adhere to systems and processes to ensure compliance with relevant Building Maintenance legislation.
You will work alongside colleagues in Facilities Management (FM) ensuring that the schools FM SLA is delivered and that schools comply with all their responsibilities under this agreement. A key element of the role will be ensuring that schools who do not buy back the FM SLA are properly maintaining their buildings in line with their statutory compliance.

The post is based at Crown Buildings, Wrexham, with a requirement to travel to different school sites across the Borough and the main Assets and Economic Development Department at Ruthin Rd.
An enhanced DBS registration is required for this position.
