About the role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with students, fostering their growth and helping them reach their full potential. Working closely with experienced education and therapeutic teams you will support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, taking part in classroom activities and outdoor educational experiences, including at a nearby farm. Your role will include preparing learning materials, assisting with hands-on activities and addressing students’ emotional and physical needs, making a meaningful impact on their development.
Who we’re looking for:
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, enthusiastic and ready to contribute in a variety of learning environments. You may lead indoor or outdoor activities, assist in vocational training, or supervise students as they explore their surroundings. This position suits someone who thrives in a team-orientated environment and values collaboration.
Relevant qualifications in teaching and learning support would be beneficial but not essential.Due to the nature of the students, you must be able to confidently manage challenging behaviour in a calm and patient manner.
