EASTER REVISION COURSE AT IPSWICH SCHOOL
We are preparing for our 2025 Easter Revision programme which is open to final year GCSE and A Level students from any school.
Ipswich School, Suffolk’s top independent school, is a perfect place for students to study. Our focused and intensive revision courses are designed to prepare students thoroughly for their GCSE and A Level exams and to help them realise their full potential. The courses will motivate students and provide them with a structured learning environment to boost their knowledge and confidence as well as focus on examination preparation.
Our 2025 course will be structured as follows:
A Level:
Week 1: Tuesday 8 April - Friday 11 April (4 days)
Week 2: Monday 14 April - Thursday 17 April (4 days)
A Level courses will take place over 4 full days in each of the two weeks. It will, therefore, be possible for a student to take 2 subjects over the two-week programme.
GCSE:
Week 1: Tuesday 8 April - Friday 11 April (4 days)
Week 2: Monday 14 April - Thursday 17 April (4 days)
GCSE courses will take place over either 4 mornings or 4 afternoons in each of the two weeks. It will be possible for a student to take 2 subjects in any one week or up to 4 subjects over the two-week programme.

THE POST
You will join a team of experienced teachers who will deliver our revision programme across a 2-week period during the Easter holidays 2025. We are currently recruiting experienced Maths teachers for our A level and GCSE courses.
You can opt to teach for either one full week, or two full weeks; please confirm your preference when applying. Please also confirm whether you would prefer to teach A Level or GCSE, or have no preference.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your main responsibilities will include:
· Teaching - delivering courses of specified content to groups of children (in class/online).
· Planning and Implementation - preparing lessons in accordance with Ipswich School policies and relevant examination specifications. You will need to have a thorough knowledge of your subject and the means of assessment at GCSE and A Level.
· Assessment - marking and assessing students’ work.
· Administration - maintaining appropriate records of attendance and assessment, and providing written reports at the end of the course.
· Student Welfare - promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all students in line with Ipswich School’s Safeguarding policies and procedures.
This list is not exhaustive and duties may be changed or added to as determined from time to time. You will be reporting directly to the Easter Revision Course Director.
HOURS OF WORK/REMUNERATION
· This is a temporary/fixed term post.
· Teaching starts daily at 9.30 am and ends daily at 4.30 pm, with a one hour break within each day.
· The remuneration will be competitive. The hourly rate is likely to be between £30.65 and £37.04 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications. Remuneration arrangements will be discussed more fully on application/interview.
· Remuneration for the Easter Revision Course 2025 will be calculated on the conclusion of the course and paid directly to your bank account by BACS in April or May 2025 (depending on the payroll processing cut off periods).
· Free lunch is provided on the days you are teaching.
