Job overview
We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our well-integrated team as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Endoscopy. This post is suitable for those in later stages of speciality training or post CCT.
The Endoscopy Department at Northumbria Healthcare is delivered over multiple hospital sites. We are looking for an experienced endoscopist who wishes to consolidate their skills and develop advanced therapeutic endoscopy skills through additional supervised training in ERCP.
Main duties of the job
This role is for candidates who are JAG accredited in upper and lower GI endoscopy and wish to develop and consolidate their skills, alongside developing their own training and experience in ERCP cases.
Outpatient clinic work is an expected part of the post, assisting with the faster diagnosis cancer pathway and developing skills in assessing patients prior to advanced endoscopy. There is job planned time for administration and CPD, alongside opportunities to participate in teaching and research based on the interests of the postholder.

* Primary Medical Qualification
* Full GMC registration at time of application
* JAG Train the Trainers qualification
Experience and Knowledge
* Experience of teaching undergraduate medical students & Foundation Doctors
* Experience of audit projects
* Evidence of involvement in research
* Evidence of leadership skills
Other Requirements
* Confirmed JAG competency for independent practice in Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy
* Evidence of KPIs exceeding JAG minimum standards for practice
