Brief Description
Network Rail are looking for a Planner to join the team in Milton Keynes!
This is a detail orientated position where you will provide national planning and administration support, communicating with people across Network Rail. Every day will bring new challenges and opportunities, it is an environment with room to grow and develop your skills! You will be working with a close knit and experienced team, with two members having received long service awards for their time at Network Rail. This is a role with full training provided and regular team building outings in the mix!
This is a part time position working Thursdays and Fridays (14hrs per week).
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary range: Band 5 - £32,000.00
Location: Milton Keynes (opportunity for hybrid working). For this role you need to live within 75 minutes of The Quadrant in Milton Keynes

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
1. Work in partnership with external suppliers, colleagues in the Planning and Administration and delivery team to offer a seamless and consistent service to training delivery teams and customers.
2. Work together with training delivery colleagues to enable the planning of new events and initiatives into the plan.
3. Produce training delivery plans accommodating Network Rail Training Catalogues
4. Maximise trainer and venue utilisation through regular reporting, monitoring, and collaboration with team members.
5. Consider the health and wellbeing of trainers and customers when producing the training plan.
6. Actively support delivery of the Planning & Administration volumes
7. Understand approved supplier frameworks and adhere to framework policy when liaising with external training suppliers.
8. Predict the cost of training delivery plans against customer budgets and monitor records, identifying risks to the training delivery team.
9. Engage proactively with delivery colleagues for short and long-term plan changes.
10. Propose and help improvements to the Planning and Administration system.
11. Pro-actively manage own personal development plan.
