Description
To support the Managing Director in delivering a manufacturing capability and developing an operations team to deliver a high-quality product to customer specifications within the prescribed lead time.
1. Deliver exceptional performance in People, Quality, Delivery & Cost.
2. Develop the operations team into a problem-solving culture.
3. Drive a lean culture through the business.
4. Manage the operations teams and develop relationships with clients to deliver to customer expectations on time in full.
5. Maintain the company's Quality and Health and Safety within the operations areas.
6. Support the recruitment and ongoing training of all operations staff.
7. Deliver exceptional communications within the operations teams.
8. Be the focal point for placing material orders with suppliers and maintaining inventory levels of raw materials and bought-in parts to successfully run the operational areas.
Profile
The post holder will enjoy a high degree of autonomy in this role and will be expected to develop and enhance the current operations team. Using your experience, strive to deliver exceptional customer delivery performance whilst reducing cost but increasing quality and delivery. You must demonstrate a track record in this.
You will be a proven Manufacturing Manager / Production Manager / Operations Manager.
Preferably, you will have a welding or fabrication manufacturing background.
You must have worked for an SME Manufacturing company in a permanent role such as this.
Automotive or Aerospace background in metal finishing wet paint, powder coating, and blasting is desirable. Sound knowledge of welding principles and a hands-on can-do attitude is also desirable.
Strong managing and leadership skills with a clear capability in leading small production teams.
Job Offer
£50,000 to £60,000 plus benefits.
