Bring your skills to the mix as a Senior Coastal Engineer, you'll play a vital role in every aspect of coastal engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad. UK WIDE ROLE Our Client has a requirement for a Civil / Coastal Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Epsom, Bristol, Manchester, Peterborough, Exeter, Glasgow or Swansea. Role Purpose: Manage a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality level Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes. Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions. Adhere to quality assurance standards in design. Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: Chartered Civil Engineer. Experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design. Sound knowledge in ocean waves, tidal theory, extreme value statistics, nearshore wave processes and sediment transport. Design experience of coastal structures such as flood defences, sea walls, breakwaters, revetments and beaches to appropriate codes and standards such as BS6349, EurOtop manual and rock manual.
